Breakfast boosters start on Thursday for Year 6 at 7:45am Every Tuesday and Thursday our Year 6 students can arrive at 7:45am for a breakfast and SATs practice.

Dance Festival Tickets for KS1, Y3/4, Y5/6 groups Tickets will go on sale today from 10am for the 24th June festival, due to the theatre updating it’s seating plan there will be 100 less seats available so please book early to avoid disappointment. Reception had a great time exploring the garden for signs of spring this week!

Year 2 learnt all about Road Safety this week in PSHE. They now know to 'stop, look, listen and think' before crossing a road safely with their adults. They even practised this outside on the playground! Some children were pedestrians, others were cars and some were lollipop people.

Well done to all that have made active journeys to school in the last 2 weeks, we hope for this to continue after Easter. As a school we have managed to achieve all of these badges through The Big Walk and Wheel 2026 challenge.

Year 3 have finished their parkour unit of work in PE this half term. They have worked on landings, jumps, change of direction and step/speed vaults. This is a brand new unit of work which was very enjoyable for all.

Year 4 had a fantastic Roman Day today! We all wore amazing outfits, made roman shields and created our own horrible histories videos inspired by 'Rotten Romans'.

Year 3 had a fantastic Stone Age Day with our visitor 'Twig the Caveman'. We helped him to make a fire on the playground and watched him cook a mackerel! We explored different Stone Age tools and understood about the different periods of the Stone Age. It was a fascinating day!

Wow! What an amazing day Year Three have had today on their Stone Age day. We met Twigg, who helped us learn so much about life in the Stone Age. We handled Stone Age tools and clothing and even lit a fire and cooked a fish! Some of the objects were thousands of years old!

Wow! Year 5 performed phenomenally in their London/Lion King showcase this afternoon! The Kestrels and Sparrowhawks offered dancing compositions, drumming, Lion King reviews and setting descriptions of the Pride Lands or Shadowlands written by the children, as well as three colour reduction block prints inspired by London landmarks and non chronological reports about London! Miss Kindred and Miss Goodwin were incredibly proud of the children and all of their hard work. Thank you to everyone who attended our showcase and cheered the children on! We are sure you are equally as proud!

This 1/2 term Swallows have been developing their knowledge on fitness. This week we used Action Mats, they are great as they have visual clues on what activity you need to do and focus the children on the task.

Nursery Owls were so excited to have a visit from a Tractor this week. We were fascinated with the ''enormous wheels'' and ''shiny red top''. We really enjoyed sitting in the tractor and asking the Farmer lots of questions.

We sent our Healthy Eating Champions and some Y4's off to Adventure Island Play Park to take part in the North Suffolk Sport & Health Partnership Healthy Eating Festival. The children learnt about -Eatwell plate. -Sugar in drinks -What to look at on a packet/boxes of food -Protein. Carbs, Iron and fats. -Using Tagtiv8 to spell fruits/veg Quotes from our champions. " I am definitely going to read the packet before I eat it" "Energy drinks only give you a spike" " I need my plate to look colourful"

Year three had great fun washing the minibus and Ms Creed's car as part of their learning about instructional texts. They were supposed to be washing a woolly mammoth but we couldn't find any!

Sporting Success Congratulations to Katie who on Sunday competed at the Eastern Region Gymnastics Qualifier event. This was her first competition and she came away with 2 Gold Medals and a Bronze! Wow Katie this is amazing, you must have put in lots of practise at home and in the Gym. Well Done

On Sunday some of our Y6 Sports leaders and Indoor Athletics team went to University of Essex Colchester to watch London Mavericks Netball team. They had a fantastic time cheering on the team and at the end of the match they had their photo with the London Mavericks Netball. Massive thank you to Mr Mckenzie for driving, sorting tickets and arranging the team photo and Mrs Woodrow for volunteering her time to support this event.

Sporting Success Congratulations to Lola who took part in her 1st gymnastic competition on Sunday at Piper Vale gymnastic club in Ipswich Lola has worked really hard in all the training for the competition. Lola received a silver medal for her beam and floor routine and a bronze for the bars . Wow this is amazing it just shows that hard work pays off.

Woodpeckers have been creating maths games using Tagtiv8 and developing their basketball dribbling skills. At the end of the game the children took turns to make and answer questions using the numbers they had collected.

Starings have been using Tagtiv8 to learn about fitness and counting in 2's 5's and 10's. Wow it was such fun and they found soooooo many number patterns.

Congratulations to the Y5/6 Hockey teams who took part in the North Suffolk Sport & Health Partnership competition at EPA HS. Our 3 teams took part in 2 challenges and then played matches against the 7 other teams. This competition was to find the team who show the highest levels of sport specific skills during their matches. Every AP team showed fantastic passing, dribbling and shooting skills but it wasnt meant to be this time.

Congratulations to the children who completed the 4 week learn to ride course. Little Riders - Children's Cycling Courses By the end of the 4 weeks every child was able to ride a bike with pedals independently.
