STRENGTHENING OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS
At Albert Pye and Ravensmere Federation, we recognise that children thrive when schools and families work together. We are committed to ensuring that all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), receive the support they need to achieve their full potential. As part of this commitment, we are continuing to develop opportunities for parents and carers to access guidance, share concerns, and work in partnership with our SEND team.
We understand that parents and carers may sometimes have questions or concerns about their child's learning, development, communication, behaviour, or emotional wellbeing. Navigating the SEND process can feel overwhelming, and we want families to know that support and advice are always available.
To strengthen our partnership with families, we offer SEND 1:1 sessions with Miss Lane and Miss Cole. These sessions provide a dedicated opportunity for parents and carers to discuss any concerns, share observations, and receive advice about possible next steps, support strategies, and services that may be able to help. Whether concerns are new or ongoing, we are committed to listening and working together to identify the most appropriate support for each child.
Alongside these individual sessions, we will continue to host our SEND Cafés throughout the year. These informal and supportive events provide an opportunity for families to learn about a range of SEND-related topics, practical strategies, and resources that can support children both at home and in school. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to meet members of the SEND team, ask questions, and connect with other families who may be experiencing similar challenges.
Throughout the year, our SEND Cafés will cover a variety of areas including:
Understanding the SEND process and accessing support
Supporting communication and language development
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Supporting children with Autism and ADHD
Developing independence and confidence
Working together to support learning at home
Our published dates for these sessions are as follows:
22nd September - SEND 1:1 session - Please book session through the office
14th November 9am-10am - SEND cafe
9th February - SEND 1:1 session - Please book session through the office

We will also publish materials and resources online wherever possible to ensure that all families can access information and support.
We look forward to continuing to work alongside you in supporting every child to succeed. By sharing knowledge, experiences and expertise, we can build strong partnerships that help all children feel understood, supported and able to flourish both in school and beyond.
Thank you for your continued support.
